I came across Beirut’s Black Session from a year and a few months ago on Captain’s Dead and, having missed both Brooklyn/NYC shows this past weekend, feel the need to re-share it.

For those who don’t know, Black Sessions are performances of live music broadcast on the French radio station France Inter. They are recorded in front of a live audience, and feature on the C’est Lenoir show.

  1. Intro by Bernard Lenoir
  2. “Nantes”
  3. “Brandenburg”
  4. “Sunday Smile”
  5. “Scenic World”
  6. “Mount Wroclai”
  7. “In the Mausoleum”
  8. “Forks and Knives”
  9. “Elephant Gun”
  10. “The Penalty”
  11. “After the Curtain”
  12. “Le Moribund”
  13. “Postcards from Italy”
  14. “Cherbourg”
  15. “Gulag”
  16. “Shiki Shiki Baba”
  17. “Hallelujah”
